About month 3 months ago when I was walking down my hallway, I hit my middle toe on one of my son’s toys. Consequently, I broke my toe. To add, the only thing the doctors could do for a broken toe was buddy tape it to another toe in order for it to heal properly. So, over the next four to five weeks I wore a bandage, resulting to my toe to getting better. There was no pain or swelling anymore. However, I still wrapped my toe back up because I did not want to risk reinjuring it. I did not want to feel that awful pain again. But, a couple days after I wrapped my toe up again, it started hurting again all of a sudden. It was a different hurt though. I was disappointed because I thought surly by now my toe should be healed. I’ve even worn the bandage a few extra days. What could be wrong? Well of course, I had to remove the bandage to get relief from the pain. Soon as I did, I noticed the pain stopped! I kept it off too. For the next few days I started carefully walking on the side of my foot, trying not to put any weight on my toe. Then, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that my foot was healed! He revealed to me that I’ve been afraid to walk on it. He went on and ministered to me. He explained that, “You are holding on to the hurt too long. You was healed a week ago. Now, you are walking in fear, afraid you are going reinjure your toe. See worst damage can occur when you bandage up hurt too long. Let go and walk in your healing.”
So many people have been hurt but are still walking around limping. They are afraid to love people, date, or attend church because they don’t want to be reinjured. Therefore, they keep themselves bandaged up just incase they get hurt the same way or similar. In other words, they avoid making new friends, mending relationships, fellowshipping, and allowing people all the way into their lives. But, I challenge you to take the bandage off! Live and walk in your healing. Do not live in that kind of bondage. You will soon realize you are stronger than you think. The same things that use to hurt you won’t be able to hurt you any more. Declare your healing, in Jesus name.
Verse of Meditation:
Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV) Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
