The Perfect Storm

For awhile I wondered how I got back to this place. The place where my husband was not able to provide for his family. Also, a place with uncertainty. But one thing that is certain is that Jesus is with us. I must admit, I’ve had to really press and pray. I have cried out to God many days. There have been days that we barley ate anything. The hardest thing I had to endure was hearing my child cry for bread. For that reason alone, I tried to come up with my own plan. I tried to get back on food stamps, but was not approved. God reminded me that day to stick with His plans for my life. He told me that He knew it was hard, but he was doing something in me. This is working for my good! He also showed me how this season was just a test from the last season. He reminded me that I trust Him more now, and that I’ve grown spiritually. I now know how to call on Him when I have a need. I also praise and worship him when times are good or bad. He showed me that through His word, I know who I am in him now. All He wants me to do is keep trusting in Him. 

This is the perfect storm because I know God has ordained it! It’s not a day that He does not meet our needs. Our cash may be low but our spirits are high. We may not always eat what we want to eat, but we are eating. No bills are behind, and we have a roof over our heads. See, when you know your life has purpose, you Trust the God who created it. Now, I know what Paul meant in Philippians 4:12 when he said; he know how to be abased and abound. That’s why I can be thankful and not ashamed. I know it’s for HIS glory! I’m coming out wiser and stronger. Thank you Jesus! 

I pray that you were encouraged today. Remember to see God in everything and worship your way through. There is an expected end! With that being said, stay turned….my story has a GREAT expected ending!

Verse of Mediation: 

Philippians 4:12 (NIV)   I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
