Usually when we hear the words “friendly fire” we think about the war. It’s usually when someone accidentally harm or kill the person who is on the same team as they are. In other words, the injury or death does not come from the enemy but a battle buddy. Nevertheless, the friendly fire that I will discuss today is not dealing with a physical war on the battle field. It can be experienced at work, church, home, etc. It also can be a friend, co-worker, mentor, or love one. These are people who are used by Satan to hurt you.
I’ve spent the last 6 months dealing with this attack, and let me tell you, it did NOT feel good! I got hurt by someone who mentored me, gave me sound council, and help me through some tough times. One day out of no where things change. She just started stepping back and treating me differently. I prayed and asked God what was going on. He told me to just be still. He revealed to me that the person lacked spiritual wholeness and is still dealing with past hurt. I would have never discovered this on my own. I thought because she had a title, and was used mightily by God that she was spiritually mature. But, deep down in her was a wounded hurting little girl. Instead of backing away, God instructed me to pray for her. I had to push past the hurt and back stabbing she caused and chose to be obedient and pray.
Prayer definitely helped her. I realized the prayer was for me too! He strengthen me to be able to still show her Christ. He also revealed that it was nothing I had done to her, but she was stuck and needed prayer. I’m forever grateful that Jesus helped me not to walk in the spirit of offense and to still love and see people how he does. Today I can say she is definitely on her way to freedom! Glory to God! Friendly fire does not feel that friendly, but with God you can be the vessel to pray your friend through the fire!

Verse of meditation:
Psalms 55:16-18
As for me, I call to God and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning, and noon.  I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. He rescues me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me.

Salvation
If you desire to know God deeper and you are not sure when you die if you will go to Heaven to be with Him in eternity. Please say the following prayer out loud:
“Lord, come into my life, I will make you Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and three days later you got up with all power in your hands. Wash me and cleans me from all my sins and make me whole before you today. I renounce my past and look forward to my future in you. Lord fill me with the Holy Spirit as only you can. In your name of Jesus Christ, I pray.”
If you’ve said the above prayer by faith, you are saved my friend. I encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions about your salvation or would like to connect to a faith-based church.
I have started to pray for those that are against me and it has been working in my favor! I was able to forgive and move forward with my life!
