There are no short cuts!

When I first started out on my natural hair journey I was very determined. I had specific things I would do daily to help promote my hair growth. I was motivated to have healthy natural hair no matter what it took! Once I reach a desired length, I notice that my determination slowed down. I eventually created short cuts on my wash and condition days. Basically, I started getting lazy with my natural hair regimen and it seemed as if my hair was not growing as fast anymore.

It’s disappointing to say, but my natural hair journey quickly reflected my spiritual walk. I remember when I would get up early and eagerly to seek and study God’s word. I would seek Him all through out my day!!! I was excited that I was growing closer to God and getting to know my LORD more intimately. Then it happen……. I started getting lazy and taking short cuts in my spiritual walk. I stopped praying as much and I stopped confessing my sins. Actually, I was stuck. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that there is MORE ! There is so much to know about Him and the plans he has for me… he is calling me HIGHER! He instilled in me that short cuts just won’t work.

LORD help us to stay on fire for you! I encourage you to keep growing. Don’t allow the business of day to day task stop you from seeking Christ! GO and GROW!!

Verse of Meditation: Mark 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.

I'm a dedicated wife, author, CLC and mother of a blended family of five children and 3 grandchildren. I started a personal relationship with Jesus Christ on March 2, 2013. From that day forward, my life has forever changed! I love Jesus and I have a passion for helping women of all ages and walks of life. As a Certified Lactation Counselor, I enjoy helping moms and baby breastfeed successfully. My favorite moto is "Any breast milk is better than none." I believe every mother and baby have their own unique breastfeeding journey. I look forward to walking with families to make the journey rewarding! I have been married to my loving husband, Michael since 2005 . We have experienced God's unmerited favor on our lives. However, It has not always been easy. Just like other married couples, we have faced many obstacles: In-law issues, financial issues, blended family issues, infidelity, cheating, etc. In 2011, we were near a divorce and our marriage was nearly over, but God had other plans for our union. He has restored our marriage, healed, and delivered us both. We are now SYMBIS Marriage Counselors and the proud founders of A2GG (Adding 2 God’s Gifts ( A2GG is a sports development and mentor-ship program for the youth. To conclude, we enjoy attending church and helping families overcome the strategies of the enemy.
