Choose to Accelerate!

Back in December, we purchased my 2-year-old granddaughter a 4-wheeler. The cool thing about this ride-on toy was that it blows lots of bubbles when the gas is accelerated. Boy did she love to see those bubbles! The problem was, she did not want to do what was required to make them blow. She insisted on riding this toy like she rode her old ride-on toys. They required her to scoot by using her feet. I thought she would enjoy this easy way because no physical work was needed. No matter how much we instructed her on how to ride her new toy, she continued defaulting to her old ways of doing things.

It made me reflect on my walk with the Lord. So many times, He had given me a better opportunity and an easier way to do things. Yet, I defaulted back to my old ways that I was comfortable with. I had to learn the hard way, resulting in me losing time and resources. I had to learn to let go and trust God. His ways are much higher than mine.

Just like my granddaughter enjoyed seeing those bubbles blow; we should love seeing the outcome of what our obedience in Christ can produce. We must always trust that God’s way of doing things yields a more favorable outcome in our lives.

Stop scooting through life when God has shown you how to accelerate!

Verse of Meditation: Isaiah 55:8-9 (ESV)

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Salvation

If you desire to know God deeper and you are not sure when you die if you will go to Heaven to be with Him in eternity. Please say the following prayer out loud:

“Lord, come into my life, I will make you Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and three days later you got up with all power in your hands. Wash me and cleans me from all my sins and make me whole before you today. I renounce my past and look forward to my future in you. Lord fill me with the Holy Spirit as only you can. In your name of Jesus Christ, I pray.”

If you’ve said the above prayer by faith, you are saved my friend. I encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions about your salvation or would like to connect to a faith-based church.

I'm a dedicated wife, author, CLC, and mother of a blended family of five children and three grandchildren. I started a personal relationship with Jesus Christ on March 2, 2013. From that day forward, my life has forever changed! I love Jesus and I have a passion for helping women of all ages and walks of life. As a Certified Lactation Counselor, I enjoy helping moms and babies breastfeed successfully. My favorite motto is "Any breast milk is better than none." I believe every mother and baby has their own unique breastfeeding journey. I look forward to walking with families to make the journey rewarding! I have been married to my loving husband, Michael since 2005. We have experienced God's unmerited favor in our lives. However, It has not always been easy. Just like other married couples, we have faced many obstacles: In-law issues, financial issues, blended family issues, infidelity, cheating, etc. In 2011, we were near divorce and our marriage was nearly over, but God had other plans for our union. He has restored our marriage, healed, and delivered us both. We are now SYMBIS Marriage Counselors and the proud founders of A2GG (Adding 2 God’s Gifts (Adding2godsgifts.com) A2GG is a sports development and mentorship program for the youth. To conclude, we enjoy attending church and helping families overcome the strategies of the enemy.
