The Wrong Turn

My job consists of me traveling to different counties every day. I have two routes that look similar and if I don’t pay attention it’s possible to take the wrong turn off the highway. Well to my surprise, that’s is exactly what happen this morning. Once I made the wrong turn, I was unable to turn around. The next exit was about 10 miles away, which would cause me to be almost 20 minutes behind schedule. Immediately, I became anxious and frustrated. Then a few minutes later I calmed myself down and prayed and gave thanks to God for allowing me to take the turn. I know he make all things work together for my good! Besides that, I know he protects me from seen and unseen dangers. When I finally pulled up at work it was 8am. Although I took the wrong turn, God still made sure I was ON TIME! Thank you Jesus!

In life we can start out on the right path but later find ourselves getting off course and taking the wrong turns. Sometimes it’s hard to turn around on your own. Therefore, we need the help of God. In my experiences, God has always met me right there in that place. His grace and mercy is sufficient. Call on him and repent and ask him to help you get back on track. Don’t worry about the time you have lost. Just seek God and trust him with all your heart. He is God…. He created time! He is able to collapsed time and have you exactly where you need to be and have you there ON TIME! Be encouraged!

Verse of Meditation:Lamentations 3:40 Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the LORD.

Salvation

If you desire to know God deeper and desire to walk with him closer, today
is your day. If you are not sure when you die if you will go to Heaven to be
with Him in eternity. Please say the following prayer out loud.

“Lord, come into my life, I will make you Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I believe you died on the cross for my sins and three days later you got up
with all power in your hands. Wash me and cleans me from all my sins and make
me whole before you today. I renounce my past and look forward to my future in
you. Lord fill me with the Holy Spirit as only you can. In your name of Jesus
Christ, I pray.”

If you have said the above prayer by faith, you are saved my friend. I
encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions about your salvation
or would like to connect to a faith-based church.

Count It All Joy!

My husband and I have been praying for the past few years that God would heal him from seizures. So when he is attacked with one, the enemy tries to make us feel doubtful and defeated. He wants us to doubt who God is. But I know God to be a healer! I understand God’s timing. I know the will of the Father is for my husband to be healed; and he will be in the mighty name of Jesus! If we allow the enemy to distract us; we will start feeling weary and hopeless. But I read in James 1:2 to count it all JOY! That means the good, the bad, and the ugly! We found peace when we kept our eyes on the Lord and we know that all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28). Therefore, Saturday night when my husband had a seizure I responded differently. I went up in worship! I started thanking God for his goodness and his mercy!

Trust God and take him at his word! He is a God that can’t lie! I dare you to confuse the enemy with your praise and worship. He desires to sift you as wheat(Luke 22:31) …..BUT God! In Christ Jesus you have the victory!! 🙌🏾

Verse of Meditation: James 1:2-3 (KJV).   My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

Burned Out :(

I went into the laundry room to dry a load of clothes. Before I started the dryer up, I decided to check the lint filter. To my surprise, it has not been cleaned in a while. The lint was very thick and fuzzy. When the filter is dirty it makes the dryer work harder, resulting in a burned out dryer. This can present a fire hazard.

Which brings me to myself; this past weekend I felt like I was going to have a break down. I have been slammed with task, deadlines, laundry, work, bills, projects, etc… People would call or text me, not with a “Hey how are you doing?” but “Can you?” “Will you”?? “Why not”? I felt just like that dryer; over worked and over heated. No matter how busy I explained to others that I was; they still found a way to add more. If only they took a second to do a lint check. They would have known that I was about to burn out. The Bible teaches us not to be people pleasers. I’m working on balance and learning not to be a “yes” person. One thing I do know; is to ask for wisdom and call on Jesus when I’m in need of rest!

Verse of Meditation: Matthew 11:28 (KJV). Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Don’t Turn Back!

Anyone who knows me, know that I can’t see well when it’s raining hard or when it’s dark. So that’s exactly how my morning started off. As I headed to work, the rain came down extremely hard causing me to have to pull over. I contemplated for quick minute about turning around and going back home. But something would not let me turn around. Instead, I pulled over for a few minutes then continued on my route. It was scary for me because all I could see was the white lines on the highway. However I proceeded slowly. About ten minutes later the rain stopped and the road was clear again. I was able to get to work… and might I add, I was on time!

What I’m I trying to say? I’m saying to you that no matter how scary or cloudy it gets on this journey called life, slow down if you must, but never turn back! God is with you and he is removing all stumbling blocks out of your way. Even if you have to drop to a slower speed than you are use to going, I encourage you to keep going! I serve a God that will collapse time and make sure you arrive on time!! He is mighty!

Verse of Meditation: Joshua 1:9 ESV Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
